Every girl has a crush on a celebrity at one point in their life. This is my point!!!!

Nothing But A Dream dots

I can only see you,
On the face of this screen
I can't be any closer
It's all just a dream.

I cannot love you
The way i always wanted
I can only watch you
And the girls you've flaunted.

I realize this can't be
That this love isn't real
You're a world-wide musician
I'm confused on how i feel.

I can't take my glare
Off the screen infront of me
And so i sit here dreaming
Of what can never be.

But as the days go by
Nothing changes, i feel the same
I just want you to notice me
Or even to know my name.

But i guess it's just a hope
A false reality
So i sit here knowing
It's nothing but a dream.

  Aww yeah it's the "so far away syndrome". I know I have the hugest crush on a celeb & many times I've felt the same. But it's also not only for a celeb crush b/c at one point in all our lives, we want someone we seemingly can never have.

  jaime.... ct?.... yes? am i wrong? i think i might be a little bit though even if you say i'm not.... either way its kinda like a cutesy form of emo! YES ALL THINGS ARE EMO!!!!!!!! they need a section called emo for sub category of what genre your poem is! i'd so read those posts!

  I really enjoy the concept of this poem, you defitely got that right, everyone goes through this stage, some just never grow out of it.:). so if I may ask, who is your celebrity dream? Mine is Corey Taylor from slipknot... god...you've just inspired me, I think I know what my next write will involve, lol, excellent job!

  uuummm... I don't know if I liked this one. Don't get me wrong, it had nice flow and rythme, but I don't really like the whole "celebrity crush" thing. You seem to have some talent, so try writing about more realistic crushes, or how you're feeling about something. Then I think I would respect you more as a writer.

  OH, I LIKE THIS. AND THE REASON I DO IS BECAUSE I HAD A CRUSH VERY LONG AGO, ON A SUPERSTAR. I REMEMBER WISHING THAT HE KNEW I WAS ALIVE ON THIS EARTH. AFTER ALL HE LIVED HERE TOO AND WE'D HAVE TO MEET SOMEDAY,LOL.

  I'm not entirely sure who its directed to, but the just another face in the crowd syndrome of thought doesn't only occur to people with celebrity crushes sadly. Many people long for even possibly love someone out of reach to them. But the best part about those feelings is knowing that at least you have those feelings to offer to someone... Don't give up jope so easily, you're stillyoung. Love may find you in the least expected ways ;-)
