Faced with a crisis and a scary seizure by my dog Fargo prompted this. Not really poetry mostly venting. NEWAYS tell me what u think

Make the font bigger!! Double Spacing Back to recent posts.

Ever see your dog have a seizure?
See him writhing and be totally helpless?
Foam forms at his mouth rabid like and he dosen't recognize you?
To realize the depths of love you have for an animal
    And have it returned ten-fold
He will love you unconditionally, so what can I do for him now?
The first instinck is to be frightened, but the commitment you have for him spurs you into action
But what action? What can a layperson do?
Hope it passes, take him to the vet
Have the vet say "well he is ok now"
"Maybe it was just this once, maybe it will happen again, we just don't Know"
That'll be $195.64 please, thank you
    Geezus I love my dog

My dog has seizures every month. It's really sad to see it happen and it's hard when you don't know what to do. I can definatly relate.

I love my dog too! His name is Dakota and he has seizures quite a bit. He's almost 10 now and I love him so very much! It's amazing how much a person can love an animal. They're the only ones that'll be there whenever you need them, no matter what. They are wonderful, non judgmental friends to have.

You have a lot of love for your dog and you can't put any kind of price on that.

Everything about this piece is so enjoyable! I love it! :) I'm not a big dog fan but man, you really got it down to the punch. Your words are very well designated, the flow, the order, they all help deliver your poem to a kickin' finish. Just adorable! Keep writing :D

uh...I've decided to be honest...I HATE THE BEGGINING! :( srry, but it has alot of truth to it. I'm an animal person...dogs and most everything else too. I love all my animals...so most of your writing hit home. (maybe that's why I don't like the beggining.) Good write...

Well this one hit home for sure! My dog had to have a C-section and it cost me $700.00. But I love her too much not to have it done. She only weighs two pounds and the pups were too big, so I had no choice.
Yes , I'd say this is a good piece !

My best friend's dog got brain tumors & started having seizures & I was dogsitting just before she died & I totally can relate - there's nothing you can do but try to keep them from hitting anything - but it is so sad to see animals in such pain as it is with people.
Her vet wanted to run $2,500 worth of tests & then prescribe a drug that just made her a vegetable - she died just a couple of months ago.
I hope your puppers is better now.

My dog is old, smelly, and has cheated death for the last two years. Honestly, I'd like to know how he does it. But back to your poem.

Obviously, you love your dog. I don't blame you. I have never had to watch a dog siezure, and i hope i never have to.
It came across strong, showing your love.
Honestly, i liked it. I didn't notice anything wrong with it, but i usually don't.
