Description:

STRANGE RIGHT?

Strange, right?
I feel the whispered kisses of your shadow
even though you are miles away.
The aches and pains
of a days hard work melt
with just the memory of your touch.
My lips are imprinted with
the taste of your kisses.
I sleep each night with
the weight of your arms
around me.
I wake each morning
to the songs of
your gentle snoring.
yet, you are miles away,
I was at your wedding.
I held my breath when
the priest asked the question.
I have held your child
and wondered how our gened would have mixed.
You are miles away.
yet, I keep you with me.

i like this one. to feel conected in a way that you cannot intterupt. even though there may be others in the way you cannot mess with. this sounds really good and i like it.

I think you should of changed "Strange, right?" to "Is it strange?" I have a friend who knows how you feel and she asked me to write a poem like this for her. But, this poem could relate to her ten times better. I love how your so close, but so far apart. Great job.

I like this. Very timely and understandable. I don't think you need to repeat the line 'Strange, right?' becuase the slight sardonic (hope that's the right word) tone carries that idea through the piece. Good stuff!

gah. I know how this feels...to feel like they are still there and wanting them to still be there with everything you have.. yet...they are miles away, wether it be physically or metaphorically..they are still gone.. and.. it sucks. a lot. I like how you portrayed this. and. I don't think it is so strange.nice write.
