Description:

Inhuman

Freak of nature, anomaly of life,
The empty road he treads be his wife.
He thinks nothing he does is right,
Yet in this world of shadow he holds the brightest light.
He may not be a hero, but has a heart of gold,
He thinks his soul God to the Devil sold.
He feels as if there is no blood flowing through any artery or vein;
He cuts himself up at night, unable to feel the pain.
Friendship and love are the only things he has to give,
But no one really wants those now- for they have modern lives to live.

  Heart wrenching. The images didn't have time to linger long, before you know it another is upon you. Overwhelming sadness.

"But he feels as if his soul God to the Devil sold."

Like you were betrayed by your very maker, doomed to whatever the Devil wishes of you. For where your soul is your heart and head must obey. That line caught me the most, held me, because of how much you can say in just one line. The last lines seemed a little off to me, but honestly I can't tell you what to do with them, because I am not the author

This was an emotion packed write and one that made me think, two great qualities in a poem.

  I told you I was going to comment on two of your writes, and this is going to be one of them. Unfortunately it is us nice guys that will strugel, the hopeless romantics that are destented to be alone forever, that is the way it is for most other people are shallow, and believe more in personal possessions.
