The Things I Could Say

If I said goodbye
it means I'd never see you again

If I said so long
it means I wouldn't care

If I said see ya'
it would mean I'd see you tomorrow

If I said I'd miss you,
it means I'd think of you every day

and if I said I love you
it would mean more than it is

For there is no farewell
worthy of this moment

There is no goodbye
good enough for you

I could say everything
but nothing would make it right

I could say we'll meet again
but that's enough

I could say goodbye my friend
but that means your not

I could say make me proud
but you already have

I could call you my friend
but the truth is I love you

I could call you my brother
but the truth is you're a friend

But I could say.....

Farewell
we'll meet again

Awww.. *tear* This was great. I like the way your use the "I could.. but" setup. I like how it goes back and forth. I just like it! I'm adding it to my favs! Thanks!
