Your mouth moves and once more Can’t you see her shed her precious tears to the floor Her heart is not some toy She was not made for you, Not designed for your cruel joy. You love you claim to give her, But you are so cold Even her heart must shiver. You say you’ll take your own life Every time things don’t go your way, Here’s your ticket, take the knife Let’s see what you’ve got There’ll be no more games, Let’s see your blood run hot. No more pretending not to see. Your choice must be made now, Spill your life or leave her be. |

I like the rhyming- it's unusual. And the content- about the meaningless threats of a self-centered person- communicate your point quite well. good job! | Posted on 2006-02-24 00:00:00 | by Kristen Gudsnuk | [ Reply to This ] | This poem is remminiscent of why there are so many sad and bad marriages. One pardner thinks love is the best medicine for the offender. Without any teeth to love, any fighting back, then love is considered sterile and weak. The abuse continues. The best thing is to close shop and move to better surrounds. | | Posted on 2006-02-24 00:00:00 | by realpoet | [ Reply to This ] | |
