Description: this is not exactly how I planned this poem, our weather person never fails to be wrong, my husband being a trucker depends on the forecast to plan his route, last night at 10pm I was told it would NOT rain until 4 am, and definately wouldnt start til after midnight, well at to minutes til 11 I heard thunder, at 2 am bad storms had arrived, this is not the only time, just the one that inspired a poem about a weather girl who is NEVER right!
The Weather Girl -------------------------------------------
Our weather girl is always wrong
no matter what you say.
I watch her every morning
just to plan my day.
She'll tell you that it's sunny
while you can hear the rain.
She must think it's funny,
while we endure the pain.
Hail storms in December.
Snow in early May.
Twisters in November.
Record highs on Groundhog day!
I'be gotten quite used to this
no matter what is said,
you take it hit or miss
and always plan ahead!
lol its funny because we all know that we've watched the weather before thinking what they are saying is correct and then we will be caught in a rainstorm with out an umbrella in nice clothes.
its quite frustrating i must say. and this captures the fact that these weather people arent always accurate so you always have to plan ahead just in case...definitely a good write. ...it was nice and lighthearted :-)
HEE HEE, Well I know what your talking about. I too live in your neck of the woods. It has been my experience that the weather person is wrong 85% of the time. Rain to day but it comes tomrrow, rain tomorrow but it rains today. I am a lover of the snow and sometimes I sit at the back picture window of the house and wait for it to come down. Most of the time I am disappointed but at others it is utter delight. The weather man has nothing on my knees. When its ready to rain or snow the knees always ache.
I like this You speak the truth in this one I for one always go with ny head I cant remember the last day I planned out my day based on the weatherman A very good write I enjoyed reading this God Bless Ron
