It's not very good, but I had to write it at that moment in my life. Ya know, when your watching the rain fall and just want to run around in it. AHHH.

Fall of the rain (my friend)

Advise for you, my lost friend,
is don't be sad in the end.

Let the rain fall,
wash your skin clean.

One thing I learned in this life,
is all the misery, pain and strife.
Go hand in hand,
with the joy, happiness and light.

So, I say again to my gone friend.
Let the rain fall and wash your skin clean.

A time will come when you know what I mean.

Until then, my wandering friend,
lift your heart to the sky and see with more than your eyes.

LET the rain fall and wash your skin clean.

I really enjoyed reading this because I really love the rain(esp. heavy fall) and normally when i stand in it all i think about is redemtion. tearing my sins from myself , and instead of worrying about life. i think about why i'm here and of all the good i've done.....

very well put together.....kudos

  thief's friend wants to say:
so what happens if you live in a place where rain drops like acid...(not literally but figurtivly speeking) you still cleanse your skin clean or do you let the acid tear your flesh!!?!...just think about it...if you don't get it then just ask thief and he'll get back to me.

I really enjoyed the spirit and meaning in this prayer-like piece. I love the symbolism of the rain and "IT's" cleansing abilities.
I'm glad to see you posting something too!
Great job!

i like that. It has a lot of personal meaning for me so that makes me wanna cry and laugh and all sorts of stuff all at once! Way to go, not many poems do that for me, for whatever that's worth :)

wow... that hit me hard. i had a friend kill himself. The next morning, we found him hanging from a tree with a swing on it. so i thought this would've been perfect for the quote on his grave stone. i would change some of the words around, but other than that, i liked it.

the rain to me has always been a time for me to let go of every thing i can and let it drip down the window i stare through or let my pain drip away as i stand in it. this poem reminded me of thoose times and it made me feel free again thank your that there nothing wrong with it nothing at all :P

Until then, my wandering friend,
lift your heart to the sky and see with more than your eyes.

this made me want to see more reach out and touch they sky as it washes away my pain.
