    REBIRTH


    Beautification disrobes
    both eyes remain open as
    Phoenix lighted all darkness.

    Legends of people like myself,
    riding on golden winged horses
    stampeding the 3rd heavens.

    Holy fine gold dust cascades
    anointing me with unspeakable joy
    as I spoke in unknown tongues.

      I think this could be much longer? Not that I did not like it , because I enjoyed it very much!

      You can definitely feel the passion in this work. I love the whole idea of the pheonix being reborn from the ashes and love the fact that you brought it up in this poem. Spiritual rebirth is a rebirth from ashes(in my opinion) so I think it really fit here. Love the way your words made the poem come to life as I read it. Very good piece.

      I remember this piece from a few weeks ago. I think you still bring out the beauty of being reborn and cleansed by God. This was clearly spiritual and uplifting. The imagery was very good. It could see all the heavenly bodies renew souls and hearts of others and pronunce them clean. And the joy of that makes one speaks in tongues. This was very good.

      Every time I think of a rebirth I think about the phoenix. Nice to see it was mentioned it in your write.

    This is a very uplifting write. Not super-duper "happy-giddyish"...but just that soft and tranquil "whooo-ha-ha!" that comes from a subtle smile of contentment. Very good stuff Cheryl.
