    dotsI Love Youdots

I love you when we wake up in the morning
I lay in bed and watch you while youíre dressing
Coz sometimes with your stretching, scratching, yawning
Your nightie rides right up, itís such a blessing.

I love you when youíre cooking breakfast for me
Some waffles, bacon, two eggs over easy
You bend and stoop, pretending to ignore me
But I know that youíre really acting sleazy.

I love you hanging washing out to dry, dear
My special treat each Thursday, sometimes Mondays
Coz darling, when you reach up I just die here
And thank God that you donít like wearing undies.

I love you watching late-night television
You fall asleep and snuggle in your white chair
I always need to make the big decision
To take you off to bed or take you right there.

I love you when weíre shopping in the food store
You reach to lift a product from the freezer
I sneak up from behind and with subdued roar
Deliver what you might say is a teaser.

    I love you every day, 24 Ė 7
You feel youíre getting fat and old, what twaddle!
I love you coz Iím living in a heaven
To me youíll always be a supermodel.

      lol Aww that's cute.
(Hah I love the picture of the flasher up there. I just noticed it. lol)
But anyways, I got a good laugh from that. Cause it starts out all cute with "I love you," but then hearing the reasons why just made it funny.
    The ending was perfect too.
    As always,
    Very nicely done

My bf just said all those things to me a few months ago. This was so sweet. We girls think we need to be all made up and and wear sweet perfume to get ya'lls motor's running. and that's far from the truth as this poem shows. It rang so true in my life, that I'm smiling recounting moments I knew I was just unkept and unladylike and those were the time the boy ravished me. You are right, love don't focus on hollywood looks but the simple things that make the female her. Her beauty comes from within and radiates outwards 24/7. I loved this, is was simple and romantic. And it was like reading my old diary of good memories. Thanks for reminding me I'm a supermodel no matter how much time goes by. you done doggone did it again!

Wow, you love that pic at the top of yoyour poem, don't you. (and if i have some very bad typos, sorry, i don't have on my glasses) That was ab love poem, as well as one with a little bit of comedy. It seem as you really lovve teh person that you are writing about and it seems as if they love you a lot too.

So you didn't know which category to pick hu? Well it does have comedy to it,and on the other hand I think it is a love poem. Then it seems to me you were serious about what you said, so maybe we need a new category that say , serious-love-comedy...
    I enjoyed the read Graeme...

For a man (after all those years together) to still love, enjoy, and be turned on by watching his wife do menial chores, is a wonderful thing.
You captured the joy of sticking it out with that special someone and how each day can bring a new thrill.
I love the humor in this.. and I can almost feel your excitement as you admire the simple things about her. And the fact that, without even trying (or does she?), she stills floats your boat

A good one Graeme, you should definitely show this to her.. and be turned on yet again, by the big smile it brings to her face.

Oh, how sweet! I wish that someone would write me a poem like this. This is wonderful... A totally original ode to a loved one. I hope she appreciates what a funny, creative fellow she gets to be with. This was fantastic, keep it up!

This was one funny poem, which illustrates why we love who we love: it is not because of their perfection, but because of their peculiarities. You never stray from your topic, which makes this a poem with an excellent flow. This is an entertaining read, but I think it lacked something deep, transcendental if you get what I mean. I know that was not your intention, but I just like poems that force one to think from a new point of view. Well done mate! This was excellent...

Wow! you really have your way with words! wait... that sound's wrong... :P It's well written, sexy without being sleazy. No extra cheese, just the meat. Very fun and entertaining. Two thumbs up! Guys like you break men's reputation, cos you drive up everybody's expectation! haha, thanks for sharing this incredibly entertaining write. Cheers. Bann

i like this poem, i think it's great. yes i agree with Chell that you should put this in the comedy category. i think it's funny, but of love also. so "comedy-love" i also like the animated picture that comes with this write, it's funny.

i would love to marry a guy like you. it's comforting to know that there are guys like you out there. i'll be old and fat one day and i would love my husband to think the way you are in your write.

thanks for making my day better with this write.

Very cute, you horn-dog! I didn't even notice the repetition of "I Love You" at the beginning of each stanza, my attention was so focused on the peep-show being layed out before me.

I think it fits in comedy,
