    dotsOne of Many Wrongsdots

    Colors of skin

    Peeling outer shell away,
    reveals we are the same.

    Hearts beating
    Lungs breathing
    Livers cleaning
    Bones and flesh
    Holding our shapes.

    Why do we discriminate?

    Evil has no discrimination
    But contaminates our souls,
taking control blinding us to reality.

    Anyone different than us
    We discriminate!

    Religious beliefs not ours
    We discriminate!

Money we have or donít have
    We discriminate!

    Body shapes and weights
    We discriminate!

    Music of old and new
    We discriminate!

    Physically disable
    We discriminate!

    Slow brains
    We discriminate!

    I could go on
    Would take to long

    Just one of many wrongs
    in this world of ours.......
    Which is realty!

Discrimination is such a problem these days. Sometimes I just dont understand why people dont realize we are all the same and that it doesn't matter what you have or what you look like. There are so many wrongs in this world, its pretty sad. Your poem really opened it up. I think you did a brilliant job writing it, describing it and just ...writing the poem. Thumbs up.

For some reason I think I've read this before, but I can't think of what it could have been...either way,. it was a decent write, but it used many similar words (And even a whole phrase:

    Hearts beating
    Lungs breathing
    Livers cleaning
    Bones and flesh
    Holding our shapes.

I know this has been used before, by one of my friends...just way too common a verse...try colering in your wording more. IT's a decent write, but nothing that really stands out.

i really like this you took one of the most behind the scene problems that no one will admit we have and throw back into their faces i know exactly what you mean i think we all do at one time or another. Jo

Very true, I understand exactly what you are saying in this. Not many people think discrimination is still out there because after all it is illegal in businesses, but that does not matter. I once put something like this in my blog and some people were like "where do u live, this doesn't happen where I live" but the sad thing is, is that most people turn a blind eye to that. And it is just one of the many wrongs.

    Great job.
