A man once told me,
"Life is what you make it"
As if with hammer and nail you could build serenity,
But where is the home depot of the mind?
My only tools seem useless in this project,
And I am unable to get the permits,
Constant recalls and manufacturing errors,
Stunt my abilities to reach my goal,
And I fear the arrival of an inspector,
Because I may have a structual defect,
But I continue with my efforts,
Even with a carpentars thumb throbbing,
Staring at what stands on my foundation,
I just don't see it matching the blueprints,
But even with all this I still build,
To one day have the life of my dreams... |
