Description: I wrote this today during class... I was thinking about my birthmom, and so I wrote this. I love her, even though I've never met her.
To the Mother I Never Knew -------------------------------------------
Seven months, she carried me
Perhaps she sang and spoke softly
I know she loved me through it all
A deep emotion my heart can recall
I often believe I can see her face
I know in her heart, there is a place
A place for me, her tiny baby
She remembers me sometimes, maybe
Did she cry when she let me go?
Where I went, she may never know
And yet, she sacrificed for me
Gave me a gift she knew I'd see
I'm grateful for her everyday
I love her, I hope she's well, I pray
I treasure the life she chose to save
I bless her daily for the gift that she gave.
I can see you are a lovely person in reading this as most people would maybe be bitter. You are looking at your mothers decision with an open mind. You must have had some good influences in your life, its lovely to read, and speaks volumes about you as a person.
This is a really pretty peice both in subject, language and , structure it is the kind of peice people in similair situations could easily relate and be important to them. I found it really interesting, not having exereinced this myself and also because my mum died at an early age so I found the comparison helpful for my own feelings. i have also written a peice ot my mum 'Shells for mum' I'd Love it if you had a look. I too am glad your birth mom made the right and honorable choice to give you life. This world would be poorer without you. This was a very thoughtful tribute. It speaks volumes to the abortion issue.
