Description: this ones different from my usual, a bit more fun i guess. i wrote it for that weatherman contest awhile ago. it has a syllable rule (it couldnt start or endwith a one syllable word), it was fun and made me think, you should try it sometime its harder than it sounds
Weatherman Steven -------------------------------------------
Every weather report I hear from Weatherman Steven
Always tends to be the one I am believin'
Never once has he failed me with his report
Weatherman Steven has my support
"Never will I predict the wrong weather" he proclaimed
"Partly cloudy, with sun peeking through!" he exclaimed
Trusting my plans, in the arms of a stranger
Sooner or later this could put me in danger
Willing to trust him with all of my power
Trusting him faded when it started to shower.
Weatherman Steven promised no more raining
Today all i've been doing is sitting complaining
Ruined my plans, now I'm quite disappointed
Dismissed from your job someone new was appointed
Weatherman Steven you made a mistake
Maybe next time you'll come to the job a bit more awake
This remind me of how we depend on people every day. Nobody is completely independent in this world, and ever our tiniest mistakes could cause a chain of reactions. If I had any critique to it it would be that you could of added a word or two to make it easier to read. Like in:
"Today all i've been doing is sitting complaining"
you could be like "sitting and complaining" I had to pause and come to that because it caught me off guard.
Other than it's a great poem that makes the reader think alot about everyday stuff. And I love the flow of it too.
