Nonsensical Easter Rant dots

Watching the sun rise
Avoiding what I’ve known all along

Raindrop oceans drown me
Too devastated to even compose
Or to keep composed
To put on that speckled mask
I wear so well.

Mother, take me to church
Sing me songs of faith
Maybe Easter is symbolic after all
Death, and three days later, life
Celebration of new beginnings

The lines don’t match up
And the rhythm is all wrong
Me in a nutshell;
If I wasn’t allergic to nuts, that is
I guess that’s how life goes.

Now that the sun has risen
I pray for it to set again.

yeah i'm not in to this poem very much it's just not something i like."Me in a nutshell;

I guess that’s how life goes." what is this supposed to mean??? That is one of the only parts in the poem that was totally and completely unclear it's just something that i didn't get. well later.kiss.kiss.

Hey, it wasn't that bad. At least you had a message there. Not written brilliantly, I think you sound muddled. What was your main theme? The fact that Easter has a lack of symbolic meaning or that you are searching for your own identity? Regardless, I got the questioning nature of the poem. good luck for next time.
