biological and spiritual,

amazing and beautiful.
Guiding with care.
picking you up after falls
over all the obstacles
they have warned will come.
With a slight smile
and a shake of the head;
thinking gently “they’ll learn.”
Many mothers have graced me,
all cherished and adored.
Coming, going.
Staying by my side.
Either way, impacting my life.
Minds in auto
forget all but the biological
when the spiritual
deserve as much thanks
I thank all my mothers.
Even the ones who didn’t realize
how much they meant
