dotsDO I STAY AND SAY IíM SORRYdots
    -------------------------------------------

Would it help, my saying Iím sorry?
Would you believe it if I said
That I never meant to hurt you,
And Iím sorry that I did?
You were never meant to find out,
You were never meant to know,
So, do I stay and say Iím sorry,
    Or do I simply go?

What hurt you most was not the fact
    That even angels lie:
A thing like that you maybe could
Get used to, by and by-
But what hurt you worse was not being first,
    But merely being one more,
So, do I stay and say Iím sorry,
    Or do I simply go?

Like most of my lyrics on this board, this one was originally written as a song and, should you care to, you can hear me perform it by clicking on the link below

If you do have the patience, I would be very interested to know what you think of it.

you know, this really reminds me of this song i know....

should I stay or should I go?
If I go there will be trouble
and if I stay it will be double.
So come on and let me know
should I stay or should I go?

I like what you have, but I feel if you list it under lyrics it should be a bit longer, with traditionals in it, like bridges and chorus and such. but thats just my opinion

This is a problem many people find in all types of relationships. I think you are talking about a romantic relationship though. So that makes it more complicated. Often times you can apologize all you want and it seems to not get better. I like these lines
"What hurt you most was not the fact
    That even angels lie:
A thing like that you maybe could
Get used to, by and by-
But what hurt you worse was not being first,"
I like that it is true. Most people don't mind the lies it is the not being first. I know it drives me crazy when I am not first. If I am not the best. Maybe it is the society we live in. But I did like this.

I like this alot. This is one of the things that everyone faces at some point and I like it when people put it into poems. It is very hard to decided one way or the other instead of just being idle. I'm sorry I'm not really good at giving feedback I usually just comment on things that I like. My favorite line was

"But what hurt you worse was not being first,
    But merely being one more,"

hmmm this poem is intresting i guess u just work too hard on the rhyme i think sacrificing some freedom of expression i like the verse "that even angels lie" its a nice dark image that goes well with the poem but overall a pretty decent effort nice job :)
