Green Grow The Rashes Analysis

Author: poem of Robert Burns Type: poem Views: 5

Green grow the rashes, O!
Green grow the rashes, O!
The sweetest hours that e'er I spend,
Are spent amang the lasses, O!

There's nought but care on every han'
In every hour that passes, O;
What signifies the life o' man,
An 'twere na for the lasses, O?

The warl'ly race may riches chase,
An' riches still may fly them, O;
An' though at last they catch them fast,
Their hearts can ne'er enjoy them, O.

But gi'e me a canny hour at e'en,
My arms about my dearie, O,
An' warl'ly cares an' warl'ly men
May a' gae tapsalteerie, O!

For you sae douce, ye sneer at this,
Ye're nought but senseless asses, O;
The wisest man the warl' e'er saw,
He dearly loved the lasses, O.

Auld Nature swears the lovely dears
Her noblest work she classes, O;
Her 'prentice han' she tried on man,
An' then she made the lasses, O.

My son had terrible bletserid diaper rash. I used expensive diapers, I changed him frequently, and I allowed him to air out during the day with no diaper on. I could not get rid of his diaper rash no matter what. I was terribly embarrassed about it and of course, my doctor probably thought I was just not changing him like I should. I used all of the different diaper rash ointments (even had a pharmacist mix up a special kind) and nothing worked. Then finally a family member told me about CORNSTARCH! Yes, just plain old cornstarch sold in the baking section of the grocery store. Extremely cheap and cleared him up instantly (within a day or two). Ever since then whenever I seen him become red or irritated I used cornstarch and NEVER had a diaper rash again. Still to this day and he is 5 if his bottom gets red from improper wiping I use it and he's fine. So please, please try CORNSTARCH as it saved me.

We use cloth, but sometimes when we are out we find it eaiesr to use fake diapers (as we call them). Once in a great while our son will get a teeny bit of diaper rash, so I really think this is the way to go to avoid diaper rash. Once our son did get a major rash on his bum, but he was sick at the time, so I think that had a lot to do with it. You're right in that you're not supposed to use diaper cream as it affects the absorbency of the cloth. However, we have used it, and haven't had any problems. It does stain the cloth though, thankfully most of my liners are a tan color anyway and not white, so we don't see it. When you use cloth you will have to strip them every once in awhile, that just means to wash them a couple of times in a row without any soap. I would think that you can use diaper cream and cloth diapers to get your little one over the rash, then strip the diapers and then go back to no diaper cream. Hope that helps. x x

At Christmastime, I sent Maddie to church only in dress and udenis b/c the previous week she had an accident in class, apparently because no one was available to help her pull down her tights and assist with other wardrobe functions. That week they had all the kids up front for a story. Maddie sat on the front, upper step, knees pointed toward the audience. It was a loooong story, way too long for an almost three year-old, and she eventually laid down, spread her legs, rolled from side to side, flashing the ENTIRE. CHURCH. her princess panties. The pastor's daughter, no less. I learned my lesson. Pee in the pants is better than flashing.
