Trees Analysis

Author: Poetry of Joyce Kilmer Type: Poetry Views: 864

1I think that I shall never see
2A poem as lovely as a tree.

3A tree whose hungry mouth is prest
4Against the earth's sweet flowing breast;

5A tree that looks at God all day,
6And lifts her leafy arms to pray;

7A tree that may in Summer wear
8A nest of robins in her hair;

9Upon whose bosom snow has lain;
10Who intimately lives with rain.

11Poems are made by fools like me,
12But only God can make a tree.

You think it does not need any analysis? Some people are still confused whether the tree is personifying a female or is he directly pertaining to the tree itself as a creation of God.

True that Joyce Kilmer could\'ve been showing his appreciation for gods creations, but then I think he was writing about a mother.

 A poem TREES by Joyce Kilmer itís describes God and I thought she wrote it, because when she looked at in the window she see this tree and she was amaze for it. A tree was so wonderful; a tree gets its water for sustenance on the ground for survival, just like us, humans, we get our nourishment from the earthís wealth and properties. When a tree is growing up she thought that this tree reaching to God.

I think this poem describes God\'s creation and how \"lovely\" it is. It shows what God can do, what he made for us. Kilmer is writting this poem in admiration of Gods creation.

I think this poem is saying how wonderful God's creation is. For those of u that can't figure it out, the tree is the symbol and the theme is for you to decide on. Obviously, it's nature and its beauty.
