the great advantage of being alive

(instead of undying)is not so much

that mind no more can disprove than prove

what heart may feel and soul may touch

—the great(my darling)happens to be

that love are in we,that love are in we

and here is a secret they never will share

for whom create is less than have

or one times one than when times where—

that we are in love, that we are in love:

with us they've nothing times nothing to do

(for love are in we am in i are in you)

this world (as timorous itsters all

to call their cowardice quite agree)

shall never discover our touch and feel

—for love are in we are in love are in we;

for you are and i am and we are(above

and under all possible worlds)in love

a billion brains may coax undeath

from fancied fact and spaceful time—

no heart can leap,no soul can breathe

but by the sizeless truth of a dream

whose sleep is the sky and the earth and the sea.

For love are in you am in i are in we

Canceled shows are a really sore point with me besucae I don't live in US and so it doesn't matter if I watch them or not. Some ideas for the Top 5:I thought your previous possible topic was pretty neat, the one about favorite book heroines and then of course, favorite book heroes. How about favorite recurring characters from TV shows? I tend to like secondary characters in books and shows more than the main characters.- How about best cliche9s in UF or fantasy in general? And then worst cliche9s or pet peeves?- Best fantasy movies- Best dragons in books or movies- Best vampires- Best princess characters in books- Best comic book characters- Best comedy movies- Best historical movies- Best back cover blurbs for books- Worst or the most misleading blurbs in books- Best UF/fantasy books to give someone who is interested in fantasy but never read it

I love e.e. cummings! I love the way he plays with lgnuaage and form, and there's just something so exuberant in his poetry! I don't know that I can name a favorite, but the one that caught my attention in high school was Spring Time.

I like i like my body'. It would be a good one to have memorised, but so far I can only remmeber the first few lines off the top of my head. As for favourite poem EVER: what are you trying to do to me, I couldn't possibly choose just one? But probably a Kim Addonizio one, maybe the one about the red dress ( What Do Women Want?'). x x

Lovely set. I love e.e. cummings he irnsiped me not to capitalize my blog:) I used to gold on a course in Oregon that the owner had designed the 5th green in the shape of a heart invisible from the course, but plain as day from the air. It was a valentine for his wife.

I love that poem! (and on total unrelated topic: it also rmeinds me of the movie In Her Shoes )Anyways, I used to read more poetry and some of my favorites included Jacques Prevert, Verlaine, Rimbaud, Baudelaire And I remember vividly one of the first poems I had to learn when I was still quite young which was written by Ronsard in the 16th century (my own very fast translation follows)When you will be very old, at night by the chandelier,Sitting by the fire, talking and knittingSaying singing my verse, astonished Ronsard celebrated me when I was beautiful ( .)I will be under the earth, ghost without bonesBy mysterious shadows, I will take some restYou will be an old woman sitting by the fireRegretting my love and your proud disdainLive, if you believe me, do not wait until tomorrowPick as soon as today the roses of life
