They say the ice will hold

so there I go,

forced to believe them by my act of trusting people,

stepping out on it,

and naturally it gaps open

and I, forced to carry on coolly

by my act of being imperturbable,

slide erectly into the water wearing my captain's helmet,

waving to the shore with a sad smile,

"Goodbye my darlings, goodbye dear one,"

as the ice meets again over my head with a click.

Okay. I made it. I finally sepoptd in to read this. I’ve had it bookadmarked for over a month…I kept telling myself that when I’m ready, I’ll read it. It still tore my heart out. I’m so, so sorry for your loss of your beloved Gibadson. But I’m sure you are just like me: if you had to do it all over again, knowading the pain you will sufadfer with your grief, you would withadout a moment’s hesadiadtaadtion. To know that we are capaadble of such love is what makes it worth lovading in the first place. Gibadson is pickading out your next dog as we speak…he’ll send you exactly who you need. x x

I am sorry see that Gibadson passed away. My ththguos and prayers are with you. My sisadter, mother and I met you in the waitading room at UGA. My sisadter was there with her Westie, Winadston, who was put to sleep the evening we were there. We had my mother’s puppy, Cooper, with us ( doxie-scottie mix). You gave us your card about your trainading seradvices. I would like to give my mother trainading lessons for Cooper for Christadmas. She is almost 90 and I know this would be great for her and Cooper. Do you know of someadone in Augusta, Ga. that is a good trainer? Wish she lived closer to Muradphy, N.C. Thanks so much!
