Dust in the Eyes Analysis

Author: Poetry of Robert Lee Frost Type: Poetry Views: 667

If, as they say, some dust thrown in my eyes
Will keep my talk from getting overwise,
I'm not the one for putting off the proof.
Let it be overwhelming, off a roof
And round a corner, blizzard snow for dust,
And blind me to a standstill if it must.

.: poem :.

this poem i think means dealing with the truth and always being honest no matter how painful the outcome. you can tell that this is about overwhelming prrof because of let it be overwheliming of a roof. also it shows robert frost personality that he probably is a very honest person. I think the blizzard snow represents that the problem/truth can even be bigger than dust which is probably really big and even if it hurts the speaker he will tell the truth.
