Dead Poem Analysis

Buried in a luxurious rain

I only came to see you again.

The grave is lonely

The nearby road, busy.

No one stops to talk to you anymore

Words are too valuable these days.

I will set my books down near your stone

And watch the moss grow.

I remember you used to frown

If I mentioned the way you

Smiled in your sleep.

"That's so private."

You would say chagrined.

Money in hand, you would

Greet the cashier: if it

Was a man he would stare.

I remember you used to spit

Like a man.  The thing about

You that turned me on the most

Was the way you would say, "Me."

Anonymous submission.

Got onto your Demonsouled series after ctilpeomng the Ghost series. Like the Ghost series, I love your Demonsouled series. Can't wait for the latest in both sigh! One question that I have in the Demonsouled series what happened to the serpent people that still had their limbs? They were the good guys. I kept thinking they'll reappear but nothing so far. The Tervingis are great and for some reason they remind me of Native Americans. Not sure why!! x x

Hi Rohaya,Thanks for the kind words about the books! The Ang-kath, the serpent pelope who have kept their limbs, are still out there. I haven't quite figured out how to work them back into the books, though. (One of the reasons is that they mostly live far to the east, further east than even the original Tervingi homeland, and only rarely come to the west, where the Grim Marches and Knightcastle are.)The Tervingi were fun to write I based them off a group called the Thervingi, a tribe of Gothic barbarians that invaded the Roman Empire around 376 AD. I wrote a longer post about the inspiration behind SOUL OF SORCERY'S Tervingi here:-JM

Perhaps we need to learn to be enough for orueelvss. Should we ask others to do this for us, we generally meet with disappointment ! Perhaps this is a good reason for having such experiences as loneliness and sadness. Not nice energies of course, however they do have a lot to teach us !A lovely poem, Nanda .

The abstraction becomes concrete and the poem is both dead and alive in the sense the speaker is both past caring and inside the heart of intrigue.
